Q:
What are the criteria for eligibility?
A:
Students who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Student must be a current employee of Farmers National Banc Corp., son or daughter of a current employee, or dependent grandchild (Son or daughter is interpreted to mean natural child, as well as adopted and/or stepchildren or legal ward)
- Student must be enrolled at an OFIC member college or university or Youngstown State University or independent Ohio College
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0

How do I apply?
A:
Complete the online application by clicking Online Application in the upper left corner of this page. Your application will be incomplete until you upload your academic transcript reflecting your GPA and your award letter or Student Aid Report (SAR).
Q:
Is applying online safe?
A:
Yes. Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. To protect the information being gathered, the scholarship application site has security measures in place including firewalls, encryption, and authenticated access to internal databases where needed.

How do you decide who will receive the awards?
A:
Selection is based on academic merit, demonstrated leadership, and community service.
Q:
How and when will students be notified of decisions?
A:
Decisions will be made and the selected scholars will be notified by letter by June of current year.
Q:
How and when will the awards be paid?
A:
Award funds will be distributed directly to the scholars' institution in the summer of this year.
Q:
Can these scholarships be renewed?
A:
Yes, this scholarship can be potentially renewed if the recipient applies again and continues to meet all eligibility criteria.
